The latest and greatest from Ashaway. We don't usually believe the hype around the launch of new string but this was impressive. Ashaway has introduced the first of what will be a new line of high performance, Zyex-based squash strings, UltraNick 17. You really do notice there is not much tension loss with these strings. Be warned though you will have to speak up when talking with this string...otherwise your opponents wont hear you over the loud bright green colour of the string.

This is geared for both amateur and professional players, it is designed to provide a thinner, softer playing string with exceptional power and ball control, and minimal tension loss for more consistent performance throughout the life of the string.

Zyex performance polymers are known for their resilience and tension holding properties, however, recent advances in material technology have produced Zyex filaments that are even finer and stronger than before. Ashaway has used these to produce new multifilament core packages with increased linear density and more cross-sectional strength. The result is thinner, stronger, lighter-weight strings which provide superior feel, more power, and improved ball control, and still offer the well-known Zyex playing characteristics and tension holding properties.
